// THE SETUP
No new borrower this issue. The file on your desk is your own. It is late November, the annual review with your general manager is Thursday, and the season's eleven decisions are laid out below the way they will be laid out in the meeting — the call you made, and where each one stands now.
Notice, before you choose, how few verdicts the table actually contains. The clean yes is performing — so far. The Christmas you refused to over-fund hasn't happened yet. The developer you offered a smaller first deal took his deck to another bank, and whether that was a loss or an escape won't be known for two cycles. Year-end reviews arrive before outcomes do. That is not a flaw in the calendar. That is the job.
The GM's question is genuine, and it is the oldest question in the hidden curriculum: out of a year of judgment, which file defines it?
