// THE SHORT ANSWER
The Walk-Away Framework is a structured way of reaching a defensible decision to decline — four recurring scenarios, each with a self-test — rather than declining on discomfort or proceeding on momentum. It exists because a career in credit is shaped more by what is declined than by what is approved, and because the hardest declines are not the weak files but the ones where a competitive deadline, a long relationship, or a missing document is doing the arguing.

Every borrower on this site is a composite constructed for teaching, not a client. The market is mid-market commercial lending as practised in New Zealand and Australia; where a convention differs elsewhere, the page says so.
